Phillip Feldman: Legal
Malpractice Expert
After obtaining two evening study degrees from U.S.C., he commenced
representing clients against their attorneys or former attorneys
upon admission to the California Bar in 1967 and defending attorneys
under attack from their clients or former clients. In addition
he was an ethics prosecutor for the State Bar (today he defends
lawyers before State Bars). From that time to the present, he
has supervised other attorneys and personally handled substantial
numbers of legal malpractice cases in all phases of transaction
and litigation. He is defense counsel on behalf of professionals
in professional negligence and disciplinary matters and has
always practiced on both sides of the Bar. Admitted U.S. District
Court 1967, U.S. Supreme Court 1984. He has been an expert witness
for 22 years and never failed to qualify.
In professional liability and professional responsibility, he
consults in preventative law and risk management.
Transactional and Litigation Malpractice
For over 22 years, his expert assignments locally and nationally
for "underlying matters" have involved both Transactional
and Litigation malpractice (prosecution or defense).

Over 36 Years Experience
As a practicing senior partner involved in transactions and
litigation and sole practitioner thereafter, his thirty-six
(36) years in the specialties of Professional Liability and
Professional Responsibility required his undertaking hands-on,
direct, personal experience advocating in many of the above
fields. His consultation practice requires assisting in personal
research and problem solving in most of the "specialty"
areas of law today which used to be part of the general practitioner's
portfolio. Board-Certified
Specialist
Mr. Feldman is board certified by the American Bar Association,
American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys and the state
of California in Professional Negligence Medical and Legal.
A board-certified specialist in Professional Negligence (legal
malpractice) is, after all, the profession's closest thing to
"a general practitioner" required to continually keep
abreast of the dynamics of "the law".
